This is the view from our kitchen to the living room. As you can tell, the building style is a bit different in Germany than in the US. For our condo, our walls are made of 12" thick masonry 'stones' - sort of like solid, dense cynderblocks. Also, the roof is 6" steel reinforced concrete with an additional 4" of concrete on top.

We have a roof!
Just a quick note of the progress of the house. It is now late summer and we have walls and a roof.
