Trip Home

When I was out last week on a biz trip to Canada, Eva took a few days to go home to her folks and to do some visiting.

...not to mention to get some help and relief with the kiddoes.
Quinn hamming it up with Tick Tack Opa.
Quinn and Emily got a few poses with their customized 'name' shirts.
They got dumped with some more snow...and Quinn wanted to 'help' shovel and sweep it away!
...whatever it takes to tire him out...
Needless to say, we are all looking forward to spring. While we love all 4 seasons, winter has been especially long and cold this year. Only a bit longer...
Eva then picked me up with the kids at the airport in Frankfurt. When Quinn saw me, he ran as fast as he could to me, smiling ear to ear. Seeing him run to me, smiling like that, is one of the best feelings in the world.

First Real Haircut

I've been cutting Quinn's hair since the beginning, but after experimenting with letting it grow out, we decided to see if a real hairdresser could do something new or different.
At the end, Quinn seemed to be having a good time, but he wasn't convinced about the whole thing at first.
The gal did a great job...but didn't come up with any really new ideas. I'll probably go back to cutting it myself next time.

Holding her own Bottle

As earlier blogged, Emily took her first bottle a few weeks ago, allowing Eva some well earned flexibility. It is also a great chance for me to (finally) share these intimate (feeding) moments. I really loved feeding Quinn, and it is the same - if not perhaps a bit better - with Emily. Kinda hard to explain why.
Father and daughter in an intimate moment where Emily was cuddling with my shoulder.
...please don't puke on my shirt...
Babsi visited us two weeks ago. She brought Paula with us. Quinn has a deep respect - if not a bit of a fear of dogs...especially black ones - but Paula is a sweetie.
After a day, Quinn and Paula were buddies...

More Sledding

These pics are from earlier in January...but on our small camera, and I just got around to downloading the pics. Last week, I thought spring was on its way, with the snow finally melting off, but we got rocked by another storm this week. The grey skies are getting really, really old...

Quinn, for some reason, really likes just sitting in the snow, watching the other kids sled. We might get one more day of sledding in this season...tomorrow morning.
