The Strawberry Harvest - June 2006

After riding through the fields for the past 3 years on my bike, smelling the strawberry fields when they came into bloom in June, we decided to plant some of our own. Here's Eva with our first strawberry of the 2006 season.

It was kinda small, but Eva said that it tasted great (and of course, fresh). Our strawberry plants grew a lot during the season, and we're hoping for a great 'harvest' next season. It is a blast watching them grow.

We also planted an apple tree and some raspberry bushes, but they didn't yield any fruit this year. Hopefully next year!
