As all things must come to an end, so did Quinn's Kindergarten year, which ended with a group trip to the zoo.
The picture of the complete class reminds me of the formal school pictures that I had as a child, this time, however, in electronic form. Oh, how fun it will be to look at this in a few years to see how the kids have developed.Eva took the day off to join the kids and parents. Quinn intently looked at the animals. I always love looking at Quinn from behind, when he doesn't know I'm watching. Yes, it is time for a new hat. He so very much loved wearing this hat that he kept on wearing (or trying to wear it) even after the latch broke.
Of course, there were games for the kids.
...and pictures with his best friends. With the end of this year's kindergarten year, comes the next - and final - one. Since we belong to a different school district than our current kindergarten, we're moving the kids to a different Siemens Kindergarten in their district. As with many tough decisions, there were tons of pros and cons, and in the end, we decided to make the jump this year...instead of next year, where we would have no choice.
One of the great advantages is that Quinn and Emily will be, for one year, in the same kindergarten...and both kids are looking forward to it -> especially Emily who says every day that she is a big girl and will be going to kindergarten.
