Two weekends ago, we headed to Eva's parent's place for their annual tradition: St. Martin's Kaffeetrinken - something that has been done in the family since Eva and Nina were children.
This time, we decided to travel a bit different, and took the train instead of suffering through increasingly frustrating traffic on the Autobahn.
As we were rolling into Bochum, Eva tried to make conversation with Quinn and asked: Quinn, who do you know was born in Bochum.
Quinn looked somewhat odd at Eva, as if this was important and something he was to know. He then looked up to Eva, with his big blue eyes, sort of smiled with pride (since he knew the answer), and said: Jesus.
I still do not know how Eva kept a straight face...I'm chuckling now...weeks later, while writing this post. Sorry Eike. We tried. We had a great gathering of the family, including the cousins and their kiddoes, who are now all getting old enough to sort of survive the 'kiddie table'.
Emily looked super cute in her backpack...but it was super difficult for me to take a picture since she was always on the move.
Even though we had a great time...we also realized that we have a bit more teaching to do. Bethlehem / Bochum...they are sorta the same (at least for the Bochumers).
