As every parent knows, there are certain outfits that are favorites, and there is a certain amount of sadness when the child outgrows it. In this case, the outfit below from Grandma and Grandpa Texas was one of my favorites - perfect for the upcoming football season!
Sometime in September Quinn started crawling...or more like pulling himself with his hands throughout the condo. Now he is fully mobile, and he has a knack at finding stuff that is now in his reach. He really likes to crawl between the chairs. He's especially good at finding stuff to play with that he shouldn't (e.g his dad's stereo equipment...)
Bathtime is becoming an interesting experience...mainly because he really likes to use hands to splash the water all over the place. By the time he's done with his bath, there is more water on the floor than in his tub (a slight over exaggeration).
Tanta Nina helping out with his bath while she was here visiting at the end of September.
Look at me in my cool flannel shirt!
After a less than spectacular summer (weather - wise), we were all hoping for a great Indian Summer. While it has gotten colder, and it has been pretty rainy, we have had some great weekend weather. We went out to try to take some family pics with the camera since all the trees are turning color and the whole area near our condo is so colorful...but it was actually 'too' sunny to get a really good picture.
Later that afternoon, Quinn and I went outside to enjoy the weather and the sun. We put on our caps to have a real 'American' experience.
I read him a bit from his Shel Silvestein book and we played with the ball a bit. Next weekend, we're hoping to head to a real (American style) football game.
Yes, Erlangen has a local football team that plays a half mile from our condo every other weekend.
