I'm a Big Boy Now! 6 Months of Joy!

Even though Quinn's 6 month birthday was already over 2 weeks ago, a blog post celebrating the event is still in order. Also, for those that have been feeling the withdrawal from 'Quinn Pics' (instead of all of those Rob pics), I'm also attaching some 'pre 6 month' pics from the last few weeks.

The pic below is how Quinn usually greets us in the morning. When he wakes up, he normally doesn't cry...just sort of 'sings' and plays. His noises are really sweet and much better than crying, but for Christ's sake, can't he wait until after 7am before making them?
For fear of being one of those parents that are constantly 'showing off' their child's milestones...I give you a pic of Quinn sitting unassisted. For a while, he was pretty shaky, but he really liked his new line of sight. The white ceiling was getting pretty dull.
We went to a playground around the corner. He is a bit too small to really 'play', but he had fun nonetheless. Regardless of the type of 'ride' or 'toy', he wanted to stick it in his mouth.
Here we are on a huge, round swing. He really liked it, and we'll be visiting more...when he gets a bit older, he can do some damage on this swing.

The day before his 6 month birthday, we went to visit his great grandparents. It was a really good time, and it is really cute to see Eva's grandparents playing with Quinn. Next time, we're bringing the video camera.
...vielen, lieben Dank, TickTack Oma und Opa. Quinn (und wir auch!) hat viel Spaß bei Euch! Es hat uns sehr gefreut, dass wir kurzfristig vorbei kommen durften.
Quinn with TickTack Oma and Opa! Quinn kept going after their glasses.

As a sidenote to the non German speaking audience, there is a bit of a play on words calling the great grandparents 'TickTack Oma (Grandmother) and Opa (Grandfather). The word for great grandparent is Ur-Oma and Ur-Oma. The word for clock is Uhr. Both words sound alike in German...and what does a clock do? TickTack! This pic is not photoshopped. This is a B/W of our hands: Quinn's, mine, and Eva's Grandfather's. As you can see, the Göttgens side of the family has some size in it...Quinn has a chance ;-)
Happy 6th month birthday, Quinn! Thanks to Tante Nina for Quinn's shirt (with the birth statistics on it!). A great pic of Nina and Quinn. We though that Quinn looked so cute in his button down shirt. He left it untucked so that he could look cool like all of the other kids.
