Dad's surprise 60th

We really threw my dad a curve when we showed up in Las Vegas for his 60th birthday party. For weeks, we had been telling him that we'd love to go, but being a new employee to Siemens in Germany, I couldn't take vacation so soon (it was only my 2nd month). I'll never forget the smile on his face when he saw us.

Eva and I flew in the night before, snuck up to our hotel room, and waited until mom gave us the signal to come to the pool in the morning. Dad was beside himself when he saw us.

Above is his custom Chicago Cubs jersey. Check out that smile! Since my dad never smiles for pictures, this one is a rare Gould pic.

Eva's suntanlotion art. During this trip, Eva got to meet our priest for our wedding (he's a family friend and was in Vegas celebrating with my day) and we got to check out Tuxes (sort of). The place we went to kept on asking us 'what time' we were getting married. They were disappointed when we said 'in 2 months'.
